Now that you have looked at the importance of the lamb, from the passover, to sacrificial offerings, to the blood of the lamb that is the blood baptism made by JESUS the Christ, notice what the book of Revelation has to say at JESUS' own Witness.
Revelation 5:6 (KJV)
And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
Behold, in the midst of the throne of GOD in Heaven is the Lamb of God!
Luke 22:69 (KJV)
Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
Note that "the right hand" is the hand of All POWER.
Matthew 28:18 (KJV)
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Revelation 5:8 (KJV)
And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
Revelation 5:12-13 (KJV)
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. [13] And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
Revelation 6:1 (KJV)
And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
Revelation 6:16 (KJV)
And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
Revelation 7:9-10 (KJV)
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; [10] And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Revelation 7:14 (KJV)
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Revelation 7:17 (KJV)
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Isaiah 25:8-10 (KJV)
He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for YHWH hath spoken it.
[9] And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God (YHWH); we have waited for Him (YHWH), and he will save us: this is YHWH; we have waited for Him (YHWH), we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation (YESHUA). [10] For in this mountain shall the hand of YHWH rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under Him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.
Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
And they overcame him (the Beast, Devil) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the Word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Revelation 13:8 (KJV)
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him(the Beast, Devil), whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
It is quite clear that the Lamb in all these Revelation Scriptures refers to the Son of God, whom on earth was God manifest in the Flesh, the Word, which tabernacled among men and became flesh, the same which came to be a lamb sacrifice for the sins of world and redemption of Israel, is the same God who now reigns triumphantly over all his creation.
So if God is the Lamb, then the Blood of the Lamb is extremely important and all who wish as Jesus said to enter into the kingdom of God, one must be "born again" of both "water and the Spirit" —the act of Baptism which is the Blood of JESUS.
For only those who are covered by the blood over their doors of their houses will be "saved" from the wrath of God and judgment which will befall all who do not repent, seek God, and believe in JESUS the Christ to be Baptized into HIM.
For as many have been baptized in Christ have also put on Christ.
Galatians 3:23-29 (KJV)
But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. [24] Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. [25] But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. [26] For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. [27] For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. [28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. [29] And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
The idea of “putting on Christ” is directly related to being “baptized into Christ.”
This is also the same idea which JESUS taught to his disciples regarding “the wedding garment.”
Matthew 22:1-14 (KJV)
And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, [2] The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, [3] And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. [4] Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. [5] But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: [6] And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. [7] But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. [8] Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. [9] Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. [10] So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
[11] And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: [12] And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. [13] Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. [14] For many are called, but few are chosen.
This, in reality, is no different than what Jesus was warning his disciples.
Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV)
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. [22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? [23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
John 13:7-17 (KJV)
Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. [8] Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. [9] Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. [10] Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.[11] For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean. [12] So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? [13] Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. [14] If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. [15] For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. [16] Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. [17] If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
If one does not repent and is not washed in the blood of the lamb, is not blessed by Spirit of God, is not quickened and cleansed of his or her trespasses, then one cannot stand justified before God, for that person or soul will have not done what is required "to fulfill all righteousness" and stand cleansed of sin before God.
The Bible says no strangers shall stand in the congregation before God, for all there will have known God before they get there, truly having been washed and accepted of HIM , having obeyed his commandments and overcome, by their testimony and the blood of the Lamb.
Joel 3:17 (KJV)
So shall ye know that I am YHWH your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
Today there are many men's doctrines of devils floating about which Christ his disciples warned about.
Matthew 7:13-14 (KJV)
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: [14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
2nd Timothy 4:1-5 (KJV)
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; [2] Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. [3] For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; [4] And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. [5] But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
Perhaps one of the most destructive ideas is that you can live in sin and still be "saved." That is willfully sinning and expecting to be saved.
The other completely devastating false doctrine is that of ‘non-baptismal salvation,’ which states you are "saved by faith through grace," with baptism being non-essential.
Of course, one is saved by faith in Jesus the Christ, and only by God's amazing grace, but there is much more to fulfilling the requirements (as taught by JESUS and his apostles) to stand justified before God.
Romans 10:8-13
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 ¶ For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Many folks and churches today often rely solely on that of which has become known as "the sinners prayer."
Have you seen this on a web page or heard it at the end of a sermon?
"If you have never really accepted Jesus as your personal Savior, would you do it right now? Do not delay or put it off. If you would like to receive Christ by faith, pray this simple prayer in your heart:
Dear Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I believe Jesus died for my sins on the cross, and rose again the third day. I repent of my sins. By faith I receive the Lord Jesus as my Savior. You promised to save me, and I believe You, because You are God and cannot lie. I believe right now that the Lord Jesus is my personal Savior, and that all my sins are forgiven through His precious blood. I thank You, dear Lord, for saving me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
If you prayed that prayer, God heard you and saved you."
HOLD IT.
This sure sounds good. I’d like to hope that God is answering their prayer, but biblically it is not what the apostles taught.
Nor did Jesus teach a prayer can save one.
Sure, there is joy in heaven over a sinner who repents, but that does not mean one is “saved,” and end of story.
Jesus spoke of repentance, faith, belief, and baptism, being born again by the water and the Spirit.
What about obedience, doing God’s will and overcoming the world?
Unfortunately, there is almost little, to no talk, by church ministries today, of baptism (which was taught by Jesus and practiced by the apostles).
Today this prayer is the accepted preferred end-all salvation doctrine of many evangelicals.
2nd Timothy 4:5 (KJV)
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
I’m sorry to bring that news to you, but YOU MUST BE COVERED BY THE BLOOD!
You must BELIEVE and be BAPTIZED for the remission of your sins!
Many of these Christians also believe in "once saved always saved."
Again, this contradicts what Jesus said and his apostles taught.
READ YOUR HOLY BIBLE AND BELIEVE WHAT THE WORD SAYS!
Others go even further are also teaching universal Salvation, which believes in the end, all will be "saved."
JESUS Clearly rejected this doctrine (Parables of the wheat and tares, fishes in the net)
Other teach water Baptism is ONLY an outward ritual for entering to their church. This is wrong too.
"If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me."
Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
Luke 13:27 (KJV)
But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
The apostles only ever baptized for the remission of one's sins. Repentance always preceded baptism.
There are other sects of the church (largely of Pentecostalism") which teach "you must speak in tongues in order to be saved," but the Bible never states or requires this.
Tongues as recorded in the New Testament are an outward sign of "a spiritual gift" given solely by God.
I can speak from experience of having spoken in tongues. (Until this phenomena has happened to you don't knock it, just as I once did.)
Paul admonished the church at Corinth, that it is better to teach a few words about Christ in a known tongue or a language than to speak only a hidden language no one else but God comprehends.
Over all, love, or charity is better to have than speaking in tongues.
1st Corinthians 13:1-14:6 (KJV)
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. [2] And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. [3] And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. [4] Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, [5] Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; [6] Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; [7] Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. [8] Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. [9] For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. [10] But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. [11] When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. [12] For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. [13] And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
[14:1] Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. [2] For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. [3] But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. [4] He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. [5] I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. [6] Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?
1st Corinthians 14:21-23 (KJV)
In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord. [22] Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. [23] If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
Just because one does not pray aloud in tongues, does not mean he or she is not or cannot be "saved" or is any less holy than one who prays in "his closet" in "silence" or in "secret" as Jesus taught to do.
Matthew 6:5-7 (KJV)
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. [6] But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. [7] But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
The Bible is crystal clear about those who will be "saved" and how one is to "overcome" the evil one, gaining one's salvation.
Mark 16:15-18 (KJV)
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. [17] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
And they overcame him (the Beast, Devil) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the Word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Hebrews 10:19-31 (KJV)
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,[20] By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; [21] And having an high priest over the house of God; [22] Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. [23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) [24] And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: [25] Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. [26] For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, [27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. [28] He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: [29] Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?[30] For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. [31] It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Having therefore come to the conclusion of the matter I ask you… Have you been washed in the Blood of the Lamb?
If you are not, then I invite YOU now, rather I command you as Peter did …if you believe and are convinced in your heart that JESUS the CHRIST died for your sins on the cross and was raised from the dead by the Power of GOD and is seated at right of God to come again in glory and all power judging the living and dead to redeem His kingdom, then YOU MUST:
REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED FOR THE REMISSION OF YOUR SINS IN THE HOLY NAME OF JESUS THE CHRIST, AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST FOR THE PROMISE IS UNTO YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN AS MANY AS YHWH OUR GOD SHALL CALL.
Acts 2:37-40 (KJV)
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? [38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. [39] For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. [40] And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
MAKE SURE YOU ARE COVERED BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB!
DO NOT DELAY THIS COMMITMENT TO YOUR GOD FOR YOUR VERY SALVATION!
"Save yourselves from this untoward generation."
May the God of Israel bless you and open your eyes to all truth.
Amen.
