The Perfect Time our Savior died on the cross?
Have you ever wondered when Christ died on the cross?
This study may or it may not be 100% correct, but having said that, I just may have figured out something amazing.
I was for some reason still pondering on the equinox and after looking at the previous study, and searching for an even more definite answer, I looked up more on the equinox.
This by chance lead me to further look up the times of the equinox, though I had not expected to find what I found, nor was I pursuing it exactly when I stumbled upon Spring Phenomena, 25 BCE to 38 CE web page of the U.S. Naval Observatory.
Once this information was presented before me, I then began using the US Navy's findings and putting them into my own sabbath Time template.
What I found shocked and amazed me!
Based upon the study of Lazarus, I discovered that Christ died exactly 14 days following the Vernal Equinox, meaning that the Vernal Equinox had to fall before the passover or more exactly before the New moon or on a new moon and therfore was in the month of Abib.
Both conditions needed to be a part of the calculation, for God said it must be the month of Abib. From observing the sababths durring the year, and observing the sabath for a few years, it appears that the first month will always follow the first (vernal) equinox, not necessarily always on the same month of that equinox.
With this information, I then began my experiment.
Could the Naval Observatories data and research help to prove that the Vernal Equinox fell 14 days before the very passover which Christ died on the cross?
I had used the estimated date of 31 A.D., believing it to be the correct date, but as I began to look at 31 C.E/A.D. it soon appeared not to fall correctly, at least not beginning with the equinox.
This author was much dismayed, as he scratched his head looking at the data on his monitor.
But then I remembered something, or perhaps the Holy Ghost should get all the credit, for bringing me to remembrance, that a Hebrew Year falls or overlap's in a 12 to 13 Hebrew month period over almost the beginning of next year (in our modern calendar time of a year) following it.
In other words, last year's full Hebrew Year was actually from months spanning 2004-2005.
Also I mused with the idea my original insistence on 31 A.D. could be completely wrong.
So with that refreshment in my soul, I began again to calculate the lunar sabbaths for 32 A.D. and as I was doing that, when something suddenly happened that was completely beyond my control.
I found that my theory was (or appeared to be) correct!
However, I was using the wrong year's data!
I had accidentally calculated the year 33 AD instead of 32 A.D., and suddenly I was shocked at the pure preciseness of Almighty God and YHWH and the perfection of His Word and His Perfect Time!
Now look at the findings and the U.S. Naval Observatory's findings.
The US Naval Observatory website states the following note.
"The first table below gives the Julian calendar dates and Greenwich times of the astronomical vernal equinox for the years 25 BCE to 38 CE inclusive. The second table gives, for these years, the Julian calendar dates and Greenwich times of the astronomical Full Moons which occurred on or after the date of the equinox, and the dates and times of the astronomical New Moons on or preceding, and after, the date of the equinox. The days of the week are given for the equinoxes and the Full Moons, from which the days of the week may readily be found for the New Moons."
The times given in the tables are accurate to within two or three hours for 25 to 5 BCE, and one or two hours for 4 BCE to 38 CE."
[Note: I had to recreate this table in brief as best I could.]
First, note that the "New Moon" according to the U.S. Navy and most astronomers today, is not the same understanding of the Hebrew new moon, as the Hebrews used the 28th day of the fourth Sabbath as the dark phase of the "new moon."
This means the new moon (by Naval standards) is the Hebrew 28th day of the preceding month.
That puts the 19th of March on the 28th day.
Julian Calendar days 19 20 21 22
Hebrew Days 28 29 30 1
Remember a month can have 29 or 30 days, although from observing the sabaths throughout the year, this author is beginning to realize most months in a Hebrew calendar follow a 30 lunar day Hebrew month.
Note below that the full moon (14th day) is April 3 beginning Friday at 3 p.m.
Could this mean, that at precisely 3 pm on the 4th of April exactly at the ninth hour, JESUS was about to expire on cross before the close of YHWH's PASSOVER for to make atonement for the sin of the World?
Matthew 27:45-54 (KJV)
Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. [46] And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? [47] Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias. [48] And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. [49] The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
[50] Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. [51] And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; [52] And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, [53] And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. [54] Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
Mark 15:33-39 (KJV)
And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. [34] And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? [35] And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias. [36] And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down. [37] And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. [38] And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
[39] And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.
Luke 23:44-47 (KJV)
And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. [45] And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.
[46] And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. [47] Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.
John 19:28-30 (KJV)
After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. [29] Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. [30] When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
It does appear that not only was the plan for God's salvation finished on the cross at Golgotha, but the PASSOVER of YHWH was finished.
Is perhaps 3pm the beginning of God's evening?
Is this when the lamb was killed on the Passover?
Please note that the dates according to the modern-day Calendar, is only helpful to locating it and matching the lunar phases, but serves no other importance.
The people of the day did not have 'Sunday' or a 'Saturday,' only a lunar method by keeping the days.
That goes for both Hebrews, Jews —even the Romans who at this time in 33 AD were using an eight day lunar schedule.
According to our calendar (modern) and the US Navy findings above, it's clear that Christ died on a Saturday (that is, if the Navy is indeed correct) and likely arose on a Monday.
You don't, and you likely won't hear anyone anytime soon saying, Oh! Wow, now we should switch our church services to Monday, that must be "the Lord's day.
No! The Lord's day as revealed in the Book of Revelation to John, was more than likely three days after the Passover, in the third day (morning) when Christ arose from the grave conquering death, hell and the grave!
The Lord's day according to the Roman Catholic "church forefathers" obviously is a man-made doctrine they established much like the Julian calendar.
There was no Sunday or Saturday —not until almost 70 years later (90 AD at the absolute earliest and a little less than 300 years later at the latest)!
Praise YHWH for His awesome and perfect timing. WOW!
If nothing else, this study reassures this author that his calculations for finding the passover were correct— Praise YHWH!— that passover on the 14th of the month of Abib, must not only fall in a month where the harvest is in Abib following the last Sabbath of the 12th or 13 month of the year, but must also coincide with the falling of equinox.
The Vernal Equinox must fall before the month of Abib, or on the first day of the month of Abib, or the next new moon following the vernal equinox (where one month is added) and thus begins the first Hebrew month of Abib and the month of the Passover of YHWH.
Praise YHWH for revealing this, any of it was sufficient by His grace, but what HE has revealed through all these sabbath studies is most amazing and I am in Awe of My GOD!
I'm not worthy, Lord.
His ways and works are Perfect and so much higher above ours.
Isaiah 55:8-9 (KJV)
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith YHWH. [9] For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Psalm 18:30 (KJV)
As for God, his way is perfect: the word of YHWH is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
Once again man and his science has yet again verified the word of God.
1st Timothy 6:20 (KJV)
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
Psalm 51:6 (KJV)
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
Psalm 104:24 (KJV)
O YHWH, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
Proverbs 1:7 (KJV)
The fear of YHWH is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Praise His Holy Name for ever and ever.
Praise the name of YHWH, and His Christ, JESUS!
Now if you do not know about Jesus, won’t you take some time to learn about Jesus and why he came to die on the Cross?
He died for your sins.
Won’t you learn about your salvation today?
