The only true God
What do Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Shintoism, Buddhism, Paganism, Shamanism, New Age, and all earthly religions have in common?
They all are faiths or belief systems created by men and most, if not all, have their justification in the works of men.
But Christ Jesus is not “religion” and the God of the Holy Bible (God’s holy Spirit inspired testimony and plan for the salvation of mankind) is not a man-made god nor is it from a “religious phenomenon” from the earth. Nor is our justification from the true living God based upon one’s works toward God.
The God of the Holy Bible is living reality, he exists and has always existed. He Is the one true living God of all creation of the heavens, the earth, and mankind.
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel), Almighty YHWH (pronounced possibly as Yahweh), testified through his holy prophets there is none else beside him.
Isaiah 45:5-8
¶ I am YHWH, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am YHWH, and there is none else. 7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I YHWH do all these things. 8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I YHWH have created it.
God declares there are not any gods alive or living beside him and he created all creation of the heavens and earth.
Isaiah 45:11-13
¶ Thus saith YHWH, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me. 12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. 13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith YHWH of hosts.
The God of the Holy Bible is the true living God of creation not a man-made created idea, or faith, or idol to be worshipped. YHWH promises every knee shall bow and every tongue shall swear by him.
Isaiah 45:18-25
For thus saith YHWH that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am YHWH; and there is none else. 19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I YHWH speak righteousness, I declare things that are right. 20 ¶ Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save. 21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I YHWH? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. 22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. 23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. 24 Surely, shall one say, in YHWH have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. 25 In YHWH shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.
The one true living God is not a god made, or fashioned, by the hands of men.
Isaiah 46:5-11
¶ To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like? 6 They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship. 7 They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble. 8 Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors. 9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: 11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
The Holy Bible testifies that the living God of the Hebrews is a gracious God and merciful God.
Exodus 33:17-20
And YHWH said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. 18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. 19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of YHWH before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. 20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
Exodus 34:5-7
¶ And YHWH descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of YHWH. 6 And YHWH passed by before him, and proclaimed, YHWH, YHWH God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, 7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
The Holy Bible teaches that in the beginning before the heavens and world was there was the Word of God.
John 1:1-17
¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 ¶ And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15 ¶ John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
The New Testament Gospel of John testifies of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, that he was that Word which was God; Christ was made flesh, or of man, and dwelt among us. As many as whom would receive him, and have faith in God’s Christ, to them Jesus gave power to become the sons of God.
Jesus taught all men that he was the way, the truth, and the life, and no man, or woman, could come to God the Father, YHWH, but through the Son, Jesus the Christ. No man knows the Father, but by Jesus, the Son.
Matthew 11:27
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 8:12
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Our Salvation and justification by God come only by our faith in Jesus, the Son of almighty God.
Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Faith in Christ Jesus is not like other faiths or religions of man-made origin where one is saved, or enlightened, by following rituals, or a temple or shrine worship, or by mind meditations, or the recitations of scriptures, prayers, washings, or other religious practices.
No. We are truly saved only by the grace of God, through faith in the one true living gracious God.
Ephesians 2:4-9
¶ But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
All other religions require a work of some kind to please or appease their god(s), but the one true living God simply requires your faith in his Son, Jesus the Christ of the Almighty God, who completed the perfect saving work on his cross on the Passover of 33 AD.
God’s plan requires your faith in him, for you are saved only by God’s grace.
Grace is a loving gift from God.
John 3:16-21
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
What else separates Christ Jesus and the one true living God from all other man-made religions such as Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Shintoism and other world deities or gods of man?
The one true living God is the Triune God, or the Trinity, or three Gods in one.
God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost and these three manifestations agree in one true living Spirit—God.
In Judaism, which is a man-made modern religion formed out of the post exile diaspora of Israel from out of Babylon, Persia; it is a corruption of the original written law and faith of ancient Israel, and today is an exclusively monistic faith in one God only.
Judaism worships and commit their works to the God of the Old Testament, but they reject His Son as the Christ. Judaism rejects Jesus the Christ and seek for another messiah to come and save them. In rejecting Christ Jesus, they reject YHWH.
Therefore, apostate Judaism is very much like Islam, another monistic religion which Muslims will pray and worship to one god. While Islam acknowledges Jesus as a prophet, it does not acknowledge him as God.
Jehovah Witnesses sect also believe in one god with the man-made English name of “Jehovah.” Jehovah Witness’ Watch Tower bible does not believe Jesus is divine, or God.
The Hindus have three separate individual gods or deities.
Buddhism claims not to have a god, yet many Buddhists pray to idols of Buddha.
Japanese Shintoism has many individual deities found in all forms of nature and idols and temples.
All other world religions have one or more idols, or gods, or spirits, they pray to and worship to, but the God of the Holy Bible is not a religion, the true living God, is one Spirit comprised of the mystery of three:
The Father YHWH
The Son, Jesus the Christ
The Holy Spirit, or the Holy Ghost.
Look at what Jesus spoke to his disciples concerning his Father.
John 14:6-11
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
Now read what Jesus said regarding the Holy Spirit of God.
John 14:15-18
¶ If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 ¶ I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
John 14:21-26
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me. 25 ¶ These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
God the Father sends the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ name.
The Holy Spirit, or Comforter, proceeds from the Father.
John 15:23-27
He that hateth me hateth my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. 25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause. 26 ¶ But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: 27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
Jesus said he will send the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit.
John 16:7-16
¶ Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. 12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 16 ¶ A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
Jesus came to testify of the only true living God, so that the world would know him.
John 17:1-3
¶ These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
The gift of eternal life is only given by the grace of Almighty God made possible only by the faith in Jesus, his only begotten Son.
If you would only believe and have faith in Jesus the Christ, God’s Son, you too could have real everlasting life and receive the Holy Spirit of Almighty God, being redeemed by the love, mercy, and grace of God.
God is a Spirit and God is very real!
John 4:21-24
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Ephesians 4:3-7
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. 7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Won’t you Join me in Christ and believe in Jesus becoming a part of the body of Christ, becoming one with God and a child of the living God and a son or daughter of a holy inheritance with the Israel of God.
Will you seek God’s grace and everlasting life, or will you continue to worship false gods and perish in God’s wrath at the final judgement of man for rejecting the only true living God?
Do you have faith to believe in Jesus?
Do you know Jesus?
He came nearly 2000 years ago to die for your sins?
Are you covered by the blood of Jesus the Christ?
Will you repent of your sins?
Will you be baptized in his saving name?
