Do you know Jesus?

Do you know the Savior, our Redeemer, our Deliverer, God in the flesh of man who came to die for the sins of the world?

1st Timothy 3:16
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

John 1:29
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Jesus was born of a virgin who conceived with a Son born of the Holy Spirit of God, this Jesus was God with us, or God in the flesh who came to earth to tabernacle, or live amongst and minister to his people Israel and mankind.

Matthew 1:18-23
¶ Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

But Jesus was born for one purpose to be a holy offering from God for the sins of his people and the sins of the world.

When Jesus was grown at the age of 30, he began his ministry to save mankind, preaching the good news of the salvation of God and the coming kingdom of God.

Mark 1:15
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

To bring in salvation, and bring in God’s kingdom to earth he would have to sacrifice his life and die on the cross for the sin of all men. Jesus even foretold his coming death.

Matthew 20:18-19
Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, 19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

Jesus also foretold his rising from the dead the third day following his death on the cross. Jesus being God in the flesh, would not die, but rise from the dead into the glory of his Father in heaven.

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Jesus, therefore, finished his work on the cross dying for the atonement, or forgiveness, for our sins and he also conquered death, the grave, and hell, or the devil.

Luke 24:1-7 ¶ Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. 3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: 5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, 7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

Jesus was raised to life everlasting and ascended to God to sit at the right hand of God in heaven given all power over earth and heaven.

Neither is any name but the name of Jesus who can save men today from their sins.

John 1:10-14
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

That means Jesus reigns on the throne of heaven and will judge all men and their lives they lived after they die. Though Jesus left his disciples and the world nearly 2000 years ago, Jesus promised to return to gather his people out of the world one day in the future, then the end of this world shall come.

Acts 1:9-11
And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
