The Third Temple
Ezekiel 8:17
Then he said unto me, Hast thou seenthis , O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
Ezekiel 14:2-3
And the word of YHWH came unto me, saying, 3 Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them?

There is something taking place in this evil world we live in, something of enormous consequence to Christians, or believers of Jesus, the Church, the body of baptized believers of Jesus Christ. There are things that are happening today, leading to a final climax in time, I am speaking of recent events in the Middle East and a growing movement to build the third temple in Jerusalem.
Why should this be of concern to us?
In 33 AD on the Passover an Atonement was made, one final Atonement, one final sacrifice, that of our Lord Jesus the Christ who shed his holy blood on the cross for the sin of his people Israel and all others, the sin of the world, all peoples, that whosoever would believe into the testimony of JESUS' death and his resurrection would receive everlasting life, having entered into a covenant relationship with YHWH by faith in his Son Jesus, into YHWH’s New Covenant made with his people Israel.
Jeremiah 31:31-34
Behold, the days come, saith YHWH, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith YHWH: 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith YHWH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know YHWH: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith YHWH: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
YHWH opened this covenant made with Israel to all, anyone who bind themselves to the New Covenant would receive acceptance and be one, joined to, receiving an inheritance as ISRAEL, or the Israel of God.
Isaiah 56:1-8
¶ Thus saith YHWH, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. 2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. 3 ¶ Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to YHWH, speak, saying, YHWH hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. 4 For thus saith YHWH unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; 5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. 6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to YHWH, to serve him, and to love the name of YHWH, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; 7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. 8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
This new covenant was established in person by Jesus when he declared the new covenant before his death on the cross.
Matthew 26:28
For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
The New Covenant was sealed and completed on the cross when Jesus said “it is finished.”
John 19:30
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
“It,” the payment for sin of all men, women, and children, of Israel and the world, was “finished.”
The Greek for “it is finished” is the word teleo.
Greek 5055 , Strong’s
teleo tel-eh’-o from 5056; v; TDNT-8:57,1161; {See TDNT 785}

"It is finished or paid" #Joh 19:30
The apostle Paul taught that the wages of sin is death.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Jesus paid with his life for our sins; Jesus was God’s holy perfect sacrifice and holy offering for the sin of the world, the Lamb slain for the sins of the world.
John 1:29
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
Jesus took upon himself all the sin of the world and took the punishment, or wrath of God, that we as sinners and rebellious children to a holy, just, and righteous God, deserved, the separation and death.
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
The Father, YHWH, loved mankind so much to save him from the death cursed upon mankind for its sins, he sent his Son down from glory to earth to be humiliated-- to be born in flesh and live as man, and suffer the cross, suffer death, suffer separation, for the sins of mankind.
This was a holy sacrificial offering performed by God, the Son, Jesus, for God, the Father, YHWH.
This offering was prophesied by the prophet Isaiah.
Isaiah 53:1-11
¶ Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of YHWH revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 ¶ Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and YHWH hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. 10 ¶ Yet it pleased YHWH to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of YHWH shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
This offering was also prophesied by the prophet Daniel.
Daniel 9:24
Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
All seven objectives prophesied took place on the cross and during the last week of time, when Jesus made his offering for God and then rose from the dead into glory, ascending back to heaven to anoint the most Holy with his holy blood making atonement for all time.
Hebrews 9:11-14
But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. 13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
The payment for sin for the children of Israel was completed, sealed.
Hebrews 10:1-13
¶ For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: 6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. 7 ¶ Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. 8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
The children of Israel and all their sins before God could not be taken away by animal sacrifices, only a true, pure, unblemished holy sacrifice could atone for the grievous sins of Israel and the world.
Only a perfect man who held the holy Law of God in his heart, and love of God in his soul, and one who was perfectly obedient to God, could offer such a sacrifice.
JESUS was that man, JESUS was that sacrifice. JESUS is our Atonement.
So, if Jesus fulfilled the law and the prophets and sacrificial atonement offering, then what are we to make of the Jews attempt to raise the third temple?
Read the Hebrews 10:18-30.
Hebrews 10:18-31
Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. 19 ¶ Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
If we sin willfully, there remains no further sacrifice.
The Old Testament is full of examples of Israel’s many sins, let us look at one example that happened in the history of Israel before the day of atonement.
First, let us examine the holy Day of Atonement.
The day of atonement was the day that God would make it possible for Israel to be forgiven of their sins by the use of a holy sacrificial offering to God on behalf of Israel for their sins.
YHWH commanded the children of Israel to keep the day of atonement holy and every year on the tenth day of the Seventh holy Hebrew month the high priest of Israel would perform a holy offering for the sin of his people. This was so sacred that only the high priest alone could enter the tabernacle to perform the atonement ceremony.
On this day the high priest was to bring in the holy offering sacrificial blood of a goat and sprinkle seven drops of the goat’s blood upon the mercy seat, the sacred lid of the holy ark of the covenant, which contained inside God's holy law, both the two stone tablets Moses received at Mt Sinai, but also the written law was placed inside the ark of the covenant.
This atonement ceremony was completed once a year for the children of Israel, and kept every year, commemorated as YHWH commanded the children of Isarel to keep it.
And it was kept until the ark of the covenant disappeared some time before the Babylonian Captivity of the Jews of the house of Judah. The Holy Bible records that the ark was not mentioned in the listed items taken away to Babylon from the temple, which was destroyed in 586 BC. The holy ark of the covenant disappeared.
Before Moses is instructed to prepare what was the first case of the ceremony of the day of atonement, something tragic happened in the camp of Israel.
Let us look at that tragic event.
Leviticus 16:1
And YHWH spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before YHWH, and died;
Leviticus 10:1-2
And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before YHWH, which he commanded them not. 2 And there went out fire from YHWH, and devoured them, and they died before YHWH.
Leviticus 10:3
Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that YHWH spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.
Clearly, God is Holy, and demands supreme sanctified holiness.
Let us look at another scripture in Israel’s history that illustrates the same example.
2nd Samuel 6:1-9
¶ Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand. 2 And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of YHWH of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubims. 3 And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart. 4 And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark. 5 And David and all the house of Israel played before YHWH on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals. 6 ¶ And when they came to Nachon’s threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it. 7 And the anger of YHWH was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God. 8 And David was displeased, because YHWH had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day. 9 And David was afraid of YHWH that day, and said, How shall the ark of YHWH come to me?
God is Holy and demands holiness and reverence, most high held respect, separation, how can he tolerate anything less.
These stories illustrate that God is not to be lightly esteemed or played with, he is Holy.
We can see that Christ made the final offering, that this holy offering was accepted by YHWH, and God is bringing his children home through Jesus the Christ, the anointed and holy One of God, God’s Son the Messiah, and the salvation of YHWH.
We can see that God demands holiness, purity, a perfect sacrifice.
Therefore, any attempt to bring back the sacrificial system, YHWH has completed and finished, can only be viewed as 'offering strange fire' to God.
The raising of a third temple with intention to start up animal sacrifices is an act of great rebellion to his holy law, great sin before God, great apostasy, great abomination to God.
If, and when, the sacrifices begin again, they are essentially trampling under foot the holy blood sacrifice of Jesus the Christ.
Hebrews 10: 29
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
My people listen to what I write, for I am warning you; flee from this sin!
Revelation 18:4
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Revelation 21:22-24
And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. 23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. 24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
If you do not know Jesus, I suggest you learn about him now; time is counting down.
Everything Jesus said is coming shortly to pass.
Jesus is returning soon.
He died for your sins.
Are you covered by his blood the blood of the Lamb?
