The wages of sin is death, but the gift of eternal life is in Jesus Christ
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
The Holy Bible teaches that all humans are born with a nature of sin.
That nature of sin was born when the first created humans broke the first law by God, who created mankind, the world, and the universe.
When the first humans broke God’s sole commandment, God then imputed sin onto man and woman and their offspring born after them.
You see, God is a holy and righteous God, and he cannot tolerate sin, or rebellion to his commandments, or his law.
The Holy Bible states that before man fell from the grace of God, man and woman were created without a sinful nature, and were innocent, living in peace and harmony within the presence of Almighty God, but then man was deceived by a sinful evil angel, and, in doing so, man was deceived himself into breaking God’s holy commandment. When man broke God’s holy commandment, he transgressed God’s law, and thus sinned before God.
Because God is a holy God, God cast away man and the woman from his sacred presence, and sent man to live in the world, away from the paradise of God.
After this fall of man from the grace of God, the man and woman’s offspring born after them would be covered by the same curse of sin.
Therefore, all men, women and children born of same lineage of the first created humans, Adam and Eve, are born into sin or begin with a sin nature, and fall short of the glory of God.
God still loved mankind and wants to have a healthy holy relationship with mankind, but now man was separated from God and far away from the presence of God.
The sin of man separates man from God.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
For the wages of sin is death, …
The Holy Bible teaches that sin is what separates us from God and his holy presence, and the wages of sin is death.
God told man in the Garden of Eden that if he broke God's commandment to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, then man would surely die. As a result all men and women are cursed from sin to die in a death and return to the earth as dust.
This is the first kind of death, however there is also a spiritual death, and separation from God, if sin is not forgiven by God.
The Holy Bible teaches that the soul that sins will die, and this is a spiritual death. Spiritual death means a final separation from God.
One sin is enough, for sin quickly causes and leads to other sins. Sin is deadly to one’s very soul.
Only God can forgive Sins.
God commended his love toward us
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
That is why in due time, an appointed time, God sent his Son Jesus the Christ to die for the sins of the world.
God by his love for his creation and by his grace made his Son a holy sacrifice for all sin, that whosoever would believe in Jesus, his Son the Christ, would receive eternal life, to live within the holy presence of God forever more.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
It is by the grace of God we are saved
Romans 11:6
And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
There is nothing you can do by yourself to save you from your sin, or sin condition, only God can save you by his grace.
It is by God’s grace, or unmerited favor, he chose to send down his Son Jesus, as the Christ, or messiah, to save mankind from their sins.
One cannot do good works to enter into the kingdom of heaven, one cannot please God by going to a temple to worship, or by performing a ritual, or engaging in ritual sacrifices to appease God.
The only work acceptable to God was the work of his Son Jesus Christ, who died for your sins and the sin of all mankind.
That work of God was accomplished on the cross of Jesus the Christ, when Jesus bled his blood, his holy blood, for the sins of the world in 33 A.D. in his crucifixion by the Jews and Romans.
By the grace of God, God imputed our sins onto his Son Jesus who died and faced the wrath that we as sinners truly deserved.
We deserved to die on the cross and receive wrath for our rebellion and sins against the one true holy God.
Jesus took our place on the cross receiving the penalty for sin and the wrath of God.
Believe in the work of Jesus the Christ and you will be saved
There is nothing you can do to save yourself, except to simply believe into his Son Jesus the Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.
We are only justified, and made righteous by God, through our faith, faith in Jesus the Christ and his work on the cross.
Romans 10:8-13
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 ¶ For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
The only thing God demands of you, is your faith in his Son.
Without faith is it is impossible to please God
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved
That if you confess aloud that Jesus is the Christ, who bled and died on the cross for your sins, and believe in your heart, or mind, that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved. Whosoever believes in Christ Jesus shall be saved.
Acts 2:37-40
¶ Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
Jesus gave an invitation to the people of Israel before he was to die on the cross for the sins of his people and all mankind.
Matthew 11:27-30
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Do you believe in Jesus the Christ?
Are you a sinner lost in your sins and separated from God?
Do you know Jesus?
He bled and died for your sins!
Will you, by your faith, repent of your sin and be baptized in his name?
